Through directed evolution and recombinant expression in Escherichia coli , this enzyme has been engineered. It possesses robust 5' → 3' DNA polymerase activity and strand displacement activity. The optimal reaction temperature for this enzyme is 65°C, and it is suitable for various isothermal amplification reactions.Compared to the wild-type enzyme, Bst II DNA Polymerase (Large Fragment) exhibits faster amplification rates, enhanced tolerance to dUTP and salt, as well as improved stability.
